Letter to David Shurter From Joanne C. Shurter’s Lawyer- Trying to Prevent Me from Publishing Rabbit Hole

This letter was sent to me by my stepmother’s cousin GERRY FRIEDRICHSEN, who is trying to use their bogus protection order to prevent me from publishing Rabbit Hole. However, with the edits as they are- Joanne Shurter is never mentioned by name- nor is my father, Robert Lynn Shurter Jr.  However- my father, sister, and brother- FULL BLOOD RELATIVES OF MINE,  are dead, and I can relate my history as much as I would like.

This is just another attempt to harass and provoke me- from a woman who is supposedly afraid for her life due to my book and website.  GERRY FRIEDRICHSEN is intimately connected to my father’s financial dealings and there is no way for him to seperate himself from my family- which gives him ample reason to try and bully me in order to make me cease what I have been doing for years.  It makes me wonder how scared these people really are of me- because it doesnt look like they are afraid in the least.  Again- something is wrong with the protection order that was granted against me.

The question is why are they so afraid of my book and the stuff that I am talking about – as it is their assertion that I am crazy.  So what difference would anything I do make if that was true?  This is what they said to obtain a protection order against me.  And now they attack me- right before Christmas.  Interesting.  Doesn’t seem like they are afraid- in fact just the opposite is true.  Except where it comes to my book.

They can’t stop the police from reading it- as they took it as part of my statement when I offered my DNA for a cold case here in town.  They are trying to stop me from exposing the crimes my family are involved with- and I just wanted to share this with everyone.  Again- it shows that they are not afraid of me- but what I am trying to accomplish.  And as far as I know- I can write a memoir of my life all I want- as it is my first Amendment right.  I am no where near Joanne Shurter- but instead of being afraid of me-  I would worry about what the police are looking into- as they seemed very interested in everything- including my DNA. If I were her lawyer anyway.

Merry Christmas all- it looks like it is going to be an interesting New Year.

“Things that matter most should not be at the mercy of things that matter least.”
— Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

This is actually the reason why I am in here basically- because I think that Sybil is small potatoes compared to what I am dealing with- and the issues that I am dealing with are current- in that some of the offenders are still alive and the activities that I am trying to expose are still occurring even today. My contention is that Nathan is using this whole Sybil thing as a distraction from the real issues of satanic ritual abuse- which she is trying to discredit. Sybil- and the issues with Sybil- dont matter to me in the least. However- the fact that Nathan is working against what I am trying to do- I find that dealing with the issues has become neccesary. Im not trying to sell books- I am trying to keep children from being hurt. Unlike Nathan- I don’t believe that we should soften the laws around child porn and abuse but rather strengthen them. Statistics show that child molesters dont stop, and ususally have hundreds of victims before they are caught. I don’t care IN THE LEAST for Nathan’s views on the subject, and will do my best to prevent her vision for our children’s future from happening.

Sybil is just a tool for the woman in my opinion- to further share her views discrediting our nation’s history with child abuse, as we are all realizing that it is under reported rather than overstated.Sybil didn’t start satanic abuse- she was never a victim of it- and the fact that Nathan added this to her book on Sybil shows that she has ulterior motives rather than just talking about Sybil.

Did Sybil lie? She was crazy wasn’t she? So she obviously didnt have a good grasp of reality, nor that great of childhood examples of healthy adulthood. To think there are not going to be discrepancies in her story is not logical. Did she lie? She was crazy wasn’t she? That is what made up the whole story about Sybil. So flaws in logic and judgement are going to be expected. After all- we are all human. And the papers that were all collected- were also done by humans. However- I am sick to death of having to listen to every indiscretion of facts when it comes to Sybil- when the simple fact is that she was just one woman who had problems who, in the end, did her best to have a life. We should all be so lucky.

To be honest- DID is actually an emotionally charged subject for me- as, even though I never had it- my older sister did get diagnosed with DID. She was the first in our family to come forth honestly about our past- and I was her worst enemy at the time. You see, I was one of those people who desperately wanted NOT TO BELIEVE, even though I was aware of my past and had not really forgotten the abuse we all suffered. I was in such denial at the time that I attacked my sister and her relevations worse than anyone has attacked anyone in here. I WAS on the other side- not that I condoned what had happened- but it simply was more comfortable for me to dismiss and deny our childhoods. Without anyone’s help- there is a psychological need to keep abuse silent- due the fact that it is INCREDIBLY shaming. People such as Nathan- who are going around preaching that people are too hysterical when it comes to abuse and our children have a tendency to make the hair on my neck raise, and that is why I have been arguing against her so hard on here and on my website. Survivors have an inordinately hard time coming forward as it is, and this huge push to discredit child abuse is destructive. I can’t say whether Sybil was real- watching my sister at the pinnacle of her breakdown was, to me, so bizarre that it seemed unreal- and yet I obviously had to admit that there was something wrong with my sis, and it had to do with our intensely abusive pasts. I dont know what Sybil went through- but we went through nothing short of our own Holocaust, and it adveresly effected everyone one of us.

My sis got DID, my brother is dead due to drugs, and my older sister died mysteriously (I think due to all of my family’s history), whereas I suffer from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. It is due to this that I find Nathan’s “facts” that severe abuse doesn’t cause incredble psychological difficulties to be off based so far that I can’t beleive anyone would actually promote something like this. Sybil- again- is just her tool to do this. It is the overall effect that she is trying to achieve that compels me to argue against her.Extreme abuse destroys the psyches of children who endure it- and no argument about Sybil will change that fact. The false memory people are WRONG in most of their beliefs in my opinion, and there is a side to me that finds all of this being pushed so hard now to be suspect.

One fact many of you might not know- but the false memory beginnings is complete with board members who were also connected to NAMBLA. (The North American Man Boy Love Association). They also believe that our nation is hysterical when it comes to sex with children and have been working throughout the years to change the laws of consent.

Oh- and one last thing. A therapist helped my sister to intergrate our past into her life and she went on to graduate the TOP of her class in both her undergrad as well as her master’s in Social Work. It is actually printed on her diplomas. So to say that therapy doesn’t help- or that there isn’t life after DID, in my experience is just simply ridiculous. It just takes time to deal with severe abuse- and we all deal with it in our own ways.

Dr. Suraci- Sybil in Her Own Words, and the Comments on the Huffington Post with Regards to Debbie Nathan’s Book Sybil Exposed

The comments on Amazon.com concerning Debbie Nathan’s book Sybil Exposed have pretty much exposed this book to be nothing more than a social commentary in which she is trying to further her cause, not only professionally but personally, in discrediting our nation’s history with satanic ritual abuse by associating it with impossible scenerios that don’t make any sense.  On the Huffington Post- there has been mention that Dr. Suraci’s book and Nathan’s book are somehow connected and that Dr. Suraci owes something to Nathan for her ridiculous book.  Now I have only just recieved Sybil In Her Own Words, but just leafing through it briefly I can tell that this book is more professional, and much more personal, than Sybil Exposed.  Down below I explain how I feel, but in wrapping up this entry- I suggest that it should not so much be Sybil Exposed  as Nathan Exposed, as she is trully showing her belief that child abuse is overstated, although we all, as of late, have seen how it is actually under reported.  Again- her arguments are flawed, and it just irritates me that she has been given the media attention that she has.  One has to wonder why.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/patrick-suraci

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/patrick-suraci/post_2699_b_1152241.html

The difference between Debbie Nathan’s book and Dr. Suraci’s book is that Dr. Suraci’s book is actually ABOUT Sybil- whereas Nathan’s book is primarily about satanic ritual abuse and discrediting it, which she descibes in her last chapters “Contagion” and “Containment”. Also, Dr. Suraci met and interacted with the women- where Nathan just read a bunch of papers that were decades old. Nathan’s book is full of typos and seems to have been rushed onto the market without taking the time to go through it properly and make sure that the grammar was correct. I wonder if this could be because of Dr. Suraci’s work and the fact that he planned to come out with a book. (I also wonder if this push to discredit satanic ritual abuse is also due to the work I am doing in Omaha. Google my name to see what I am talking about). Either way- Sybil Exposed is unprofessionally written and needs an editor desperately. I don’t know much about Sybil- she was before my time and had nothing to do with the satanic ritual abuse that I sufffered as a child in Omaha, bringing me to my biggest point comparing the two. Nathan’s book is an attack on survivors and women- whereas Dr. Suraci’s seems to be an explanation of a very women Nathan’s uses in her attack, and, from what I can tell so far, is a celebration in the woman’s healing and the fact that she had a life afterwards.

Sent to Me : Another View on Debbie Nathan, Author of Sybil Exposed

Here’s another view on Nathan.

Unequal
Author(s):Melissa Farley Unequal*
Melissa Farley
August 30, 2005 (Coalition Against Trafficking in Women)
This article was written in response to Debbie Nathan’s ‘Oversexed’ (Nation, August 29, 2005). Nathan sympathizes with those on the Left who consider prostitution to be a form of labor rather than violence against women. Nathan criticizes abolitionist feminists who think that women in prostitution deserve more in life than a condom and a cup of coffee. In fact, we feminists think that women in prostitution deserve the right NOT to prostitute. That’s what almost all women in prostitution tell us they want: to get out. ‘Unequal’ criticizes the use of HIV prevention funds as a means to promote legalized prostitution….

Over the years, Debbie Nathan has hung out with the sexual-violence-denying faction of the Left who are apologists for pornographers, pedophiles, incest perps who claim their kids have false memories, and nice johns who only use prostitutes indoors….Nathan questions – no, not the existence, just the scientific prevalence – of sexual violence against women and children in this man’s world.

Pedophilia and ritual abuse (highly organized groups of pedophiles who make a religion out of sexually torturing children yes they really exist) are described by Nathan as a “sex abuse panic.” Public outcry against adults having sex with kids and taking pictures of that is penned by Nathan as “kiddy porn panic.” Now she writes about a “sex-slave panic.” She uses our own discomfort against us. If we’re uncomfortable at witnessing sexual violence, at the renting or buying of people for sex, our discomfort is sneered at, labeled “panic.” It’s fiendishly effective strategy that colludes with peoples’ stubborn refusal to know about the cruelty of sexual violence. Most people are relieved to avoid the painful awareness of one more instance of suffering in this world. Violence against women and children is left in place, hidden in plain sight.

Claiming that Lourdes Portillo’s accounts of the murders of hundreds of women on the Juarez-El Paso border are exaggerated, Debbie Nathan worried that some people may think her analysis sounds “like the nasty arithmetic of Holocaust deniers.“ She has a point there. Nathan’s modus operandi is to question the accuracy of numbers, focusing on the absolutely proven body count rather than – for example – the existence of the gas chambers. She questions the accuracy of numbers as a way of denying the roots of the problem. She does this in Aug 29 2005 Nation by noting that accounts of the actual numbers of US trafficking victims vary from study to study. Trafficking victims are under extreme duress, and they hide because they’re terrified of pimps, johns, families, police, and governments all of whom might once again betray them. Yes there is difficulty in accurately counting them. It’s great that there are scholars who revise inaccurate or incomplete numbers whenever they can.

Nathan even suggests that some women consent to being trafficked: “I’ve never met a Thai woman smuggled in for sex work who didn’t know that’s what she’d be coming here to do.” That’s pimp-speak. As in “hey girl this is a dog-eat-dog world and you got gold between your legs. You already been fucked so why not get paid for it?” Is Nathan saying that she knows what’s going to happen to her so that means she deserves what she gets? Is Nathan suggesting that we stand by and watch as she gives up her human rights?

It’s a cold, mean world for some girls but Nathan isn’t objecting. It’s not sex trafficking, it’s ‘migration for sex work.’ Nathan dismisses the overwhelming damage that comes from sucking 10 strangers’ dicks a day, from getting raped weekly, and from getting the shit beaten out of you if you don’t do whatever pimps or johns want. Nathan considers “imprisonment in a sweatshop” just as severe as trafficking for prostitution. Sweatshops are vicious but they don’t involve invasion of all your body’s orifices on a daily basis for years into the future – or having to smile and say you like it when some foul-smelling man your grandfather’s age comes on your face. Ironically, in her dogmatic refusal to notice sexual abuse anywhere, Nathan also fails to point out the fact that women and girls imprisoned in gender-stratified sweatshops are usually sexually exploited as well as having their labor exploited.

Nathan article http://www.thenation.com/article/oversexed

Regarding the Concerns that have been Expressed

It has been suggested to me that I am pushing too hard, and that perhaps I should slow down and let things happen.  Probably good advice, but this is the thing.  First, the history of what I am involved with is full of inappropriate behavior, and although I trust those that I have been working with on the Ricky Chadek case, as a whole I have no trust for the department or organization within which they work.  The local authorities around here, court wise, legal wise, and publically have worked solely in the interest of protecting their own and doing their best to intimidate survivors into silence to keep the status quo safe.  The history is that the alleged pedophiles are protected while the victim’s go to jail or die, thus nothing has been done about any of this for decades.  How long exactly should we wait for this to be reexamined?  Because my mantra is “if not now, then when?”  I personally think that the time is now.

With everything that we are learning about all of the abuse that is happening throughout our nation, it is pretty obvious to most people that we have a major problem concerning abuse and our children.  I have been told that explaining Franklin Credit Union is beating a dead horse, but I think that if we could understand exactly what happened here- we will be better equipped to identify and deal with the same issues in the future, thus safeguarding our children from being abducted, raped, and murdered in the shadows, as they are now.  The future has a tendency to repeat itself- and I do not want to see a repeat, much less a continuation, of what I and so many others have experienced regarding abuse at the hands of our own government.  The issues I present are important, and I am demanding that they be considered, because there is no better time than the present.  We must start holding our officials accountable, if we do not- things will continue to spin out of control with no one worthy at the helm.

Rabbit Hole: A Satanic Ritual Abuse Survivor’s Story will be hitting the market the middle of January 2012, and my hopes is that it presents my concerns in such a way that we will have some honest discourse on the subjects I present.  It is time.  Tomorrow is too late, esp. considering that there are children’s lives on the line this very moment.  It is time that we face the ugly truths of our nation and finally deal with the shadow that is pervasive in so many lives right now.  Perhaps over dramatic, but I believe that our very survival as a species depends on it.

Women Alledge Satanic Abuse Memory Implants

Personally- I think that it is true that some people can be convinced of anything. However, I do find it suspect that all of this is getting the media attention that it is at this point in time, and, knowing the history, can’t help but think that the False Memory people have a lot to do with this- esp. considering the things that are happening here in Omaha. There is this almost desperate push to discredit satanic ritual abuse, however, all of the litigation in the world is not going to hide the facts that are discussed in my book Rabbit Hole. The media is giving big attention to this story- and books such as Sybil Exposed, although the whole connection with Nathan to the Nathoinal Centern for Reason and Justice, which helps alledged pedophiles fight their victims, points to the fact that there is a planned agenda with this twist of issues that is designed to draw people into an argument that can never be won, distracting people from the fact that satanic ritual abuse is real.

If you are able to be convinced by other people about events surrounding your own life- you are a ninny.  Just my opinion.

Dr. Suraci/ Sybil/ and the Huffington Post

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/patrick-suraci/post_2699_b_1152241.html

A great review on Dr. Suraci’s book, and one for the good guys when it comes to understanding Sybil and DID.

This issue is important in that some are trying to use Sybil to dismiss satanic ritual abuse at the same time.  As my book Rabbit Hole: A Satanic Ritual Abuse Survivor’s Story will show when it is out on the market in January- satanic ritual abuse can no longer be denied!

This is the comment that I made on the Huffington Post website:

“After reading this review- FINALLY someone who actually KNEW the women that have been at the center of such controvery. I am anxious to read this book- as I read Sybil Exposed and found Nathan’s arguments to be flawed, as well as agenda driven. I readily look forward to reading this book- as I would like to hear from someone who spoke too and knew these women personally rather than from a journalist who just looked over a bunch of papers. I thank you Dr. Suraci for writing such a book- esp. at a time that Sybil, DID, and a myriad of other situations are being discredited, not only by Nathan’s book- but also in the media. Bringing us back to reality- you help explain, through these women’s lives, that satanic ritual abuse was not a part of their lives or part of any therapy associated with Sybil. Nathan- unfortunately, has alledged that Sybil started our nation’s history with satanic abuse- and this is simply not the case. It is nice that you have such a book that gives a vastly different perspective than what has been previously introduced- thank you!!”

This was sent to me via the web and I thought I would share this email…..

“Sybil in Her Own Words by Patrick Suraci, Psychologist 12/15/11
….I recently published Sybil In Her Own Words: The Untold Story of
Shirley Mason, Her Multiple Personalities and Paintings. It is a
follow-up to the case of a woman who had 16 personalities, then called
Multiple Personality Disorder. Flora Schreiber wrote this story titled
Sybil. The therapist, Dr. Cornelia Wilbur used unorthodox, but not
unethical, treatment for ten years, such as, psychoanalysis, hypnosis
and Sodium Pentothal which resulted in the complete integration of the
16 personalities.

Sybil was the pseudonym for Shirley Mason who was born on January 25,
1923, in Dodge Center, Minnesota. She was an artistically gifted and shy
only child. Her family was well known in this little town; therefore,
her mother’s bizarre behavior was overlooked. During Shirley’s treatment
the alternate personalities emerged and told of the abuse by her mother.
Whenever her mother committed an atrocious attack on Shirley, she would
split and development another personality to cope with the trauma.

Attacking the veracity of Sybil published in 1973 did not begin until
April 24,1997, when Dr. Herbert Spiegel gave an interview to the New
York Review of Books. He stated that Sybil was not a multiple, but
rather an hysteric. He claimed to have hypnotized her, performed
regression studies and filmed her for the class he taught at Columbia
University, thus, discovering that Sybil’s therapist, Dr. Cornelia
Wilbur, had been: “helping her (Sybil) identifying aspects of her life,
or perspectives, that she then called by name. By naming them this way
she was reifying a memory of some kind and converting it into a
‘personality’…” In fact, he accused Dr. Wilbur of implanting false
memories….

When I asked Dr. Spiegel for the film hypnotizing Sybil, he said he
could not find it. When asked why he had waited 24 years to report this
so-called fraudulent case, he said no one had ever asked him about
Sybil….

After Ms. Nathan received many negative criticisms over her inaccuracies
and fabrications in Sybil Exposed, a fact checker from the Times claimed
she had verified the documents in the Schreiber archives in the Special
Collections Library at John Jay College. The sign-in book, which is
meticulously guarded, requires a person’s signature and date. There is
no such entry from this fact checker.

While researching my book, Shirley’s cousin Naomi Rhode, found an audio
cassette made by Shirley and Dr. Wilbur on February 18, 1977.They were
discussion publishing a book about Sybil’s paintings. They spoke about
the time Dr. Wilbur sent Shirley to Dr. Spiegel. Dr, Wilbur says, “I
think that hysterics are people who are willing to enter into a contract
with someone whom they trust.

Now if they don’t trust that individual to some extent, they may appear
to enter into a contract, but they don’t really. And as an example of
that, I would like to point out that, although Sybil was very readily
hypnotizable by me…An expert used her as a demonstration subject, and
she agreed to this and he was disagreeable to her.

As a consequence he could not really hypnotize her” Shirley added, “She
(Sybil) didn’t trust him as much. He tried to make her make something
special out of things in her life that weren’t special, like
birthdays…”.

….Shirley gave me information, journals, art work, anything I wanted
to make my book an accurate picture of her life. She wanted people to
know the benefits of therapy and that she was cured and lived a
productive life…. http://goo.gl/1FJTh <http://goo.gl/1FJTh>

400,666 US Girls Under Ten Are Forcibly Raped
By James R. Marsh on December 15, 2011
A recently released report by the Centers for Disease Control and
Prevention reveals some sobering numbers: nearly 1 in 5 women have been
raped in their lifetime. This statistic is widely known and almost
universally accepted. But what do these numbers say about children?

According to the study, approximately 80% of female victims experienced
their first rape before the age of 25 and almost half experienced the
first rape before age 18 (30% between 11-17 years old and 12% at or
before the age of 10).

When you crunch the numbers even more, you discover that approximately
400,666 girls under ten have experienced “completed forced penetration,
attempted forced penetration, or alcohol/drug facilitated completed
penetration.” http://goo.gl/u5MIY <http://goo.gl/u5MIY>

The National Intimate Partner and Sexual Violence Survey (NISVS)

On average, 24 people per minute are victims of rape, physical violence,
or stalking by an intimate partner in the United States, based on a
survey conducted in 2010. Over the course of a year, that equals more
than 12 million women and men.
Those numbers only tell part of the story—more than 1 million women
are raped in a year and over 6 million women and men are victims of
stalking in a year. These findings emphasize that sexual violence,
stalking, and intimate partner violence are important and widespread
public health problems in the United States. http://goo.gl/4yT73

Check Out the Protection Order Against David Shurter Tab Above

It occurred to me that when it comes election time, rarely do people ever really know about the judges that are involved in our judicial system, and I have decided that it is important to share the transcripts of what I just went through in order to expose the types of decisions that are being made in Douglas County Courthouse.

Yes, I sent a card in 96 when my sister and I were trying to go to court over our inheritance, but before that, I sent a beautiful piece of artwork that was discarded five days later.  This was never mentioned in the complaint.

I have no history of violent behavior- but I was never allowed to present anything that would have shown my side of the story.  However- I have been waiting to be in front of a judge for decades- and was ready to express my side no matter how hard they tried to close me down.

Please check out Transcripts of the Protection Order against David Shurter on the upper tab of DavidShurter.com and see what the hoop la is all about.

Omaha has a tendency to support and protect pedophiles- as I speak about in Rabbit Hole, and judging by what just happened – that attitude hasn’t changed.

One last note- I say that I am going after Gerry Friendricksen not because he is my stepmother’s lawyer- but he is also her cousin- and I believe is intimately involved in my family’s crimes.  He at least is knowledgeable about them- as the court documents will show.

Please feel free to share with whoever you would like.  The info is no good if it isn’t out there.

I know that there are some out there that feel that I shouldn’t feel so angry about a protection order- but it was put to me this way, think how one of Sandusky’s accusers would feel if he would have gotten a protection order on them.  Nothing with any of these situations has gone as they have should, and there seems to be a strong push to shut me down, not only in the court room, but also out and about- and considering that every victim who has come forward trying to push this issue has either ended up dead or in jail for the most part (minus the one who got a million dollar settlement he never tried to claim), I feel it is important for me to keep this all as public as possible- regardless of who chooses to get involved in this mess.  I have strong feelings about Marlon Polk as a judge, and though I have been assured that trying to push this issue is like drawing a target on my forehead, I think it is important to keep our officials in line and this is the only way I have at my disposal to do such a thing.  Therefore, whether you agree or not- I must do what I feel is right, and act in a way that tries to ensure my safety as I go through this process.
