Ivory Garden Trauma and Dissociation Guest Speakers

Ivory Garden is proud to announce that we will be hosting the annual Trauma & Dissociation Conference being held October 3rd through the 5th, 2014 (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday).   Please go to the “Conference Schedule” tab to see a preliminary schedule.  The actual conference begins at 8:30 am on Friday.

The conference will focus on clinicians, child abuse survivors, and loved ones working together in order to share knowledge that will empower, enlighten, and benefit each uniquely. Our goal is that trauma survivors will leave the conference with the tools and knowledge that can be used in everyday life; that supporters acquire a better understanding of trauma and dissociation and its effects on survivors; that clinicians gain skills that will be useful when treating dissociative clients.

The conference will be held in Seattle, WA at the the DoubleTree by Hilton near Sea-Tac Airport.  Please go to the “Hotel and Lodging” tab for more information on rooms and accommodations.

For your information:  we are sorry that we must limit attendees to 350 people.  If you would like to register now, we are offering special rates.  We will keep you updated as to how many people have registered.

There is ample room for sponsorship exhibition tables.

Donations are also appreciated.  We depend on donations in order to put on the conference and for financial scholarships for those in need of help attending the conference.

We will be asking for submission of poster presentations and activities presentations soon.

Who is invited?

Survivors of trauma and/or those who have dissociative disorders.  We would love to see everyone here.  You will get a chance to meet and hear others who have experienced traumal.   We welcome your submissions for presentations and hope that you will share publications and/or artwork that you have completed.  Here is a place where you will participate in gaining coping skills and information that will be beneficial in your everyday life as well as sharing with others as you feel comfortable.

Supporters of survivors.  If you have a family member, friend, or associate who has experienced trauma, you are also welcome.  This is your chance to become more familiar with the needs of survivors as well as hearing valid and reliable information about trauma and dissociation.  We would also welcome submissions for presentations.

Mental Health Clinicians.  All mental health clinicians are welcome to attend.  There will be several presenting on different aspects of trauma and dissociation.  We hope that you will contact us if you would like to present.  Otherwise, this conference will be helpful for you in your practice.

Do not hesitate to contact me with any questions that you might have about this conference.

GINA VANCE, CLC, CMHT, CCHT, RBT

GinaAbout

http://www.mindbodyjourneys.com/index.html

Gina Vance has been called lots of names, including, Soul Coach, Therapeutic Mentor, Miracle Worker, Mind-Body Mentor and The Mind-Body Whisperer!  Many of those names were conferred by those that were told that there was nothing more that could be done for them. Some were “fired” by their therapists, some told the only thing left to try was shock treatment (ECT), others, that they just had to accept a life of pain, anxiety and disability and learn to live with it!  Together with these heroic souls on healing journeys (“clients”), Gina developed a uniquely transformative blend of mind-body tools to relieve stress and pain; change unwanted habits, and feel peaceful, confident and empowered. Gina has witnessed that whatever you want; whatever you want to be free of, and however you want to contribute your unique talents, gifts and abilities to the world, it’s probably doable. Because, when the good that’s inside us is supported, nourished and energized, things that have been intractable, immovable, and unhealable, are suddenly, easily, safely transformed!  We can be the change we want to see in the world.
